Moving
Design

Enso was developed from the belief that casters should complement the design of the articles they mobilize.

Superior Movement. Modern Design.

With more than 50 engineered components per caster, Enso wheels are engineered for more than mere aesthetic. The result is a wheel that’s exponentially stronger, smoother, quieter, more hygienic, more versatile for hard or soft flooring, and easier to install. A caster that, for the first time, complements the modern articles they mobilize.

  1. 70 mm HybridThe 70 mm Hybrid is the first caster of its kind. It utilizes one high-precision chrome steel radial ball bearing per caster, and two self-lubricating journal bearings in an efficient arrangement that allows for exceptionally smooth operation and twice the load rating of typical “high-capacity” chair casters, yet with lower costs of production and 30% less weight as compared to our Executive 70 mm caster. This is the size most often associated with typical office chairs, tables and case goods. Select our 11mm friction sleeve stem mount for chair sockets, and plate mounts or threaded stems for case goods as necessary. Available with and without a brake and with an estimated load capacity of 150 lbs. per caster (5 casters = 750 lbs., 4 casters = 600 lbs.). Covered by US patent 8561258. International patents pending. Certified compliant with BIFMA X5.1 durability standards for office chairs.
  2. 70 mm ExecutiveThe 70mm Executive caster utilizes two large high-precision chrome steel radial ball bearings per caster. This allows for the ultimate combination of strength, smooth roll and an aethereal, modern aesthetic through a large 35mm central opening (17% larger than our Hybrid 70 mm caster and 25% higher estimated load rating). This is the size most often associated with typical office chairs, tables and case goods. Select our 11mm friction sleeve stem mount for chair sockets, and plate mounts or threaded stems for case goods as necessary. This is a non-braking caster with an estimated load capacity of 200 lbs. per caster (5 casters = 1000 lbs., 4 casters = 800 lbs.). Covered by US patents 6839939, 8561258, and CN patent 100556716. Certified compliant with BIFMA X5.1 durability standards for office chairs.
  3. 92 mm Low Profile – Originally developed in cooperation with Google for the Google Jamboard, this larger diameter low profile tire works well with most cart applications, or for chairs, tables and case goods in deeper carpet piles. It features a thinner tire profile as compared to our 100mm caster but still will accommodate transition over most thresholds (i.e. elevator gaps or flooring transitions) with ease. Select our 11mm friction sleeve stem mount for chair sockets, and plate mounts or threaded stems for case goods as necessary. Available with or without our patented push-button brake and with an estimated load capacity of 200 lbs. per caster (5 casters = 1000 lbs., 4 casters = 800 lbs.). Covered by US patents 6839939, 8561258, 10035376 and CN patent 100556716.
  4. 100 mm High Profile – Originally developed for the Microsoft Surface Hub, this is the largest diameter Enso caster. Used in large and robust cart, table and case good applications where load capacity and threshold accommodation are of primary importance. The standard mount for this caster is a 1/2-13” thread. This is a non-braking caster with an estimated load capacity of 400 lbs. per caster. Covered by US patents 6839939, 8561258, and CN patent 100556716.

Zen Minimalism

In Zen Buddhism, an enso (literally translated in Japanese as “circle”) is a circle painted by hand in one or two swift, fluid, and uninhibited brushstrokes. It is characterized by a minimalism born of Japanese aesthetics. No two alike, each expresses a unique moment when the mind is free to let the body create. It evidences the character and the context of its creation. The enso symbolizes enlightenment, strength, elegance, the universe, and the void (“mu”).

The Wheel Used on the Google JamBoard

When Google wanted to reinvent the wheel (and the whiteboard), they turned to Enso for a custom, high-performance architectural caster utilizing our patented hubless wheel design. After extensive research by Google’s team searching for aesthetically viable alternatives, Enso’s caster quickly came to light. Enso’s high level of precision combined with the unique esthetic brought the Google Jamboard to life.
